Sand and Glass Filter Media Overhaul
For pool owners whose water remains cloudy despite correct chemical levels. Over three to five years, silica sand calcifies and develops channels, letting dirt pass right through. We extract the exhausted media, inspect internal lateral arms for cracks, and reload with fresh graded silica or activated glass media for crisp filtration.
What is included
- ✓Vacuum extraction of compacted old sand or glass
- ✓Internal lateral arm and hub integrity check
- ✓Filter tank pressure wash and scale descaling
- ✓Refilling with graded silica sand or recycled AFM glass
- ✓Top diffuser inspection and realignment
- ✓Initial backwash and rinse cycle commissioning

Why Pool Owners Choose ClearBasin
Complete media extraction, lateral inspection, and filter reloading.
Restored water clarity
Fresh media catches fine particulates down to smaller micron levels, stopping the milky haze common with worn filter beds.
Protection against sand blowing into the basin
Inspecting laterals prevents fractured arms from dumping kilograms of filter sand directly into your swimming pool.
Shorter backwash runs
Unclogged media cleans out faster during routine backwashes, saving hundreds of litres of heated pool water.
